10g alum mordant

Steps
Wash fabric to remove oils; soak in 10g alum dissolved in 1L warm water for 1 hr, rinse lightly.
Simmer 50g MHRB in 2L water for 60-90 min, stir occasionally, strain into dye bath.
Submerge damp fabric in dye bath, simmer 1-2 hrs, stirring for even color.
Optional: Add 1 tbsp vinegar for reds or 1 tsp baking soda for purples.
Rinse fabric in cold water until water runs clear; air-dry in shade.
